The department consists of six faculty members. Prof. C. S. Dhinakaran started his career as a lecturer in a private college in the year 1965 and later joined in a Government college in 1968. He continued his service in various Government Arts and Science institutions at different places in Tamil Nadu. He has written two books under the title, “Digital Electronics” and Heat and Thermodynamics for Bharathidasan University. He joined duty at K.L.N. College of Information Technology on 3rd August 2001 as a professor and Head of the Department and continuing his service till date.

:: Misson

• To achieve a pass percentage of more than 93 (considering both I & II semesters) in the theory paper, Engineering Physics
• To achieve 100% of pass in Physics practicals
• To encourage first year students to participate in Intercollegiate Intellectual Competitions
• To arrange Guest lectures for the students
• To encourage the students to take seminars which will be useful, in removing the stage fear
  
  

:: Involvement of Students

• Our faculty members are actively involved in the department, student and career development activities.
• The portions for theory and practical were finished on time and sufficient time was given for their practice and their skills were periodically tested through tests, tutorials and seminars.
• As a combined improvement of department and as well as for students, an OPEN HOUSE exhibition for students’ projects was arranged through department in which students exhibit their projects with the guidance of staff members and suitable rewards were given for best projects.
