The Laboratory is well equipped with distance measuring instruments such as Chain surveying equipments, Plane table surveying equipments and Levelling equipments and angle measuring instruments such as Compass, Thedolite and Subtense bar etc. Through theses equipments, students can be well trained on the preparation of plans, maps and study of topography of the site. This laboratory includes three phases of practices. Surveying I & II provides knowledge of equipments and practices and Survey camp provides advanced techniques and execution of project works.

This Laboratory is structured with Pentium IV branded Flat monitor systems connected with structured cabling to have a LAN facility supported by one server of IBM Xenon and equivalent computers. Sufficient number of Laser Printers and CD Writer of compound types are provided to enable the students to make their own Hard/Soft copies of their works. The following Licenses Software’s are procured and made available in Lab : AutoCAD 2008 10 users license, Autodesk CAD software 30 users License (Auto CAD 2008 with Civil, mechanical and Architectural applications).

This laboratory is planned to study the properties of materials applicable to construction industry as well as industrial requirements. Universal Testing machine, Compression Testing machine, Hardness and Shear testing equipments with advanced measurement systems are the major equipments and the students are trained to do the experiments with synchronization of practical field conditions.

Hydraulics Engineering Laboratory equipped with an exclusive array of equipments to study the flow behaviour of water and other fluids. It includes test rig of equipments for the study of velocity, pressure and flow characteristics of water and various types of Pumps, Turbines etc. Students will be exposed to the field applications of Hydraulic machineries and equipments through this Laboratory.

This Laboratory is well equipped with laboratory equipments for the study of Engineering properties of Soil,Classification of Soil, and the determination of in-situ characteristics of soil . The studies will be quite useful for the identification of soil in the field, selection of suitable soil based upon the super structurural load and the selection and design of suitable foundation.
